We thought it would be nice to give the Play Specialists on the ward a special gift that would benefit all the children/young people. We gladly gifted them an IPad and a £50 Itunes card. We also felt it was only appropriate that we purchase more apps and materials if and when needed. The next much needed thing for the ward was some Play Doh. Zak’s Aunt Debbie & Nova who are in Australia are hosting a ‘girls night in’ with family and friends on Friday 11th May 2012. Friends will pay an entry fee and bring items for auction. Smokey must be a very popular toy as we had to search around a few shops to get him and we ended up having to go online and reserve the very last one in a store a few miles away. However, Andrew had received many gifts at Christmas and for his 1st Birthday and his parents asked if we could donate Andrews gift to the ward. After speaking to Jayden’s mummy, we decided to go for a Thomas the Tank remote control train. We had a lovely day going shopping for this special gift. We at the Foundation thought that to find the perfect teddy we would go to the Build a Bear workshop and choose, stuff, clothe and name a special bear we thought would be ideal for Anna.
